Energy Saving Tip for Today

February 24, 2011

Energy dollars could be going right out your door!  The Department of Energy’s energysavers.com website says:  “New exterior doors often fit and insulate better than older types. If you have older doors in your home, replacing them might be a good investment, resulting in lower heating and cooling costs. If you’re building a new home, you should consider buying the most energy-efficient doors possible.”  Patio doors, especially sliding glass doors can really be a problem for your heating and cooling bills if they are 10 years old or more.  There are recommendations on the Energy Savers website for installing weatherstripping if replacing doors is not in your budget.  You can check it out at:  http://www.energysavers.gov/your_home/insulation_airsealing/index.cfm/mytopic=11280

Existing Screen Porch Enclosed by The Sunrooms Store – Wilmington NC

September 23, 2010

This home at 4215 Brinkman Dr. Wilmington, NC has a relaxing room where before there was only a screen porch. The Sunroom Store has the solution for closing in your porch. We build 3-season sunrooms and all-season sunrooms and we can install them on a deck or patio or in an existing porch.

The Sunroom Store All Season Sunroom brings the best of the outside in, this room keeps the worst of the outside out. Extra-wide, 3-inch thermally broken wall panels make heating and air-conditioning an energy-efficient proposition. Durable vinyl-framed glass windows offer excellent thermal qualities, as well. An All-Season room from The Sunroom Store will seem like an architect-designed room addition.

Have you ever wanted to enjoy a leisurely meal outside or stretch out in your favorite lounge chair to read a good book only to have your plans ruined by the weather? An all-season sunroom can allow you to savor these moments any season of the year!

Some popular uses for All Season Sunrooms include:

* A library or music room
* A family room
* Enclosing your existing deck or patio for entertaining Holiday guests
* An exercise room
* A large room for your pool table or a play room for the kids

The Sunrooms Store 3-Season Sunroom can give you three seasons of enjoyment of the great outdoors, from the comfort of your home!

Some popular uses for 3-Season Sunrooms include:

* A relaxing sitting area off of a master suite
